FUNCTION AT NGATEA.

SUCCESSFUL CARD EVENING. On Wednesday last a 500 card tournament in aid of the National Party funds was held in the hall. The hostesses were Mesdames R. B. Hodgson, A. Constantine, A. J. Cole and W. Flint. About 50 people attended, and the ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. Phelps, Mr. H. A. Waite securing the men’s prize.
