DEPUTATION TO MR. SEMPLE.
COMMERCE COUNCIL’S MOVE.
DECISION AT TO-DAY’S MEETING.
The Thames Chamber of Commerce
Council met this morning. ’ Present: Messrs, K. S. Hetherington (presi dent), F. S. Miller, C. M. Coakley, G. L. Grange, J. H. Ensor, J. H. Battson, A. F. Steedman, Dr, T. E. Miller, and the secretary, Mr. 11. T. Gallop. The question of the proposed Pipiroa bridge was raised, and it was decided that the council make representations to the Minister for Public Works, Mr It. Semple, when he was at Ngatea on Friday next. “Clean-up” week. A borough “clean-up” week was fav oured, and it was decided to write to the Borough Council in this connco tion. Annual Meeting. Arrangements were made for the an nual meeting of the Chamber for Saturday, May 28. It was stated that Mr. H. W. Shove president of the Auckland Manufactur ers’ Assoeitaion, would be present and deliver an address.
