“ONE GOOD TURN.”
PRACTICAL APPRECIATION. A THOUGHTFUL ACT. THAMES PEOPLE’S KINDNESS. A practical example of the old adage, “One good turn deserves another,” occurred in Thames file other day. Some few years ago a travelling circus arrived in Thames, and by force of circumstances became stranded. A local resident happened to be passing the location of the show, and, learning of the plight of the performers, offered to take one of the ladies home until such time as other arrangements had
been made. The lady in .question ac copied the offer with much thanks.
This act of kindness had its sequel when another circus was in town tho other day. The lady in question was one of the performers, and her first act
on arriving in town was to seek tho people who gave her shelter on the previous occasion. After renewing acquaintance and offering thanks again, she gave her benefactors two complimentary tickets for the show, which, incidentally, they thoroughly enjoyed.
