The entry of the police into the ring ended last night's wrestling bout between Earl McCready and Chief Little Wolf. JlcCready won by two falls to one, taking both his falls as penalties :igainst the Red Indian. Little Wolf persisted in elbow jolts, slaps and punches on the face when the referee ordered him to break, and for this in-
fringement penalties were given against him.
The wrestlers appeared fairly evenly matched in strength, but the Indian put his deathlock several times on McCready by cleverly-laid traps, and it was with a deathlock that he gained his fall. The wrestling was fierce in the sixth and seventh rounds, the bout ending in the seventh when Little Wolf persisted in punishing T\!eCready about the face when the referee ordered a bveak. BLOMFIELD WINS. BY AN UNUSUAL FALL. [By Telegraph.*—Press Association! WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. A single and unusual fall gavo "Lofty" Blomfield the decision over Matros Kirilenko in a professional wrestling contest last night at the Town Hall. In the sixth round Kirilenko dumped Blomfield hard, and lifted him to do so again. As he looked likely to deposit Blomfield over the ropes, the referee hauled Kirilenko backward, whereupon ho overbalaifced and fell underneath Blomfield. The latter promptly pinned him. Tho Russian gave a fine demonstration of speed and cunning, while Blomfield interspersed his usual solid lactics with a leavening of elbow jolts.
