AMERICAN BASKETBALL.
FURTHER GAMES TO-NIGHT.
PAEROA ASSN. FORMED. The Thames American Basketball Association's matches will, be continued in the Drill Hall to-night, when a. series of four interesting games is to be played. The Wanderers' combination will meet the Cougars, who were defeated by the former team some time ago. The Maoris, White Star and Walkers teams are all eager to produce top form, and some fine play should be the result. A strong association has been formed in Paeroa following the demonstration given by Thames teams recently. The Paeroa association is recommend ing the game to all, and the Rugby Union is giving much support. The Mormon ciders, Cobbley and Simpson, will lead a Paeroa team on Thursday next against a local rep. team, which will be chosen to-night. Interest is being taken by the ladies in this game, and it is hoped that they will form teams in the near future. The draw for to-night is advertised elsewhere In this issue.
