WRESTLING MATCHES.
MCCREADY'S TASK.
MARSHALL'S DISQUALIFICATION
[By Telegraph.—Press Association] CHRISTCHURCH, July 29.
Wrestling here last night, McCready had his hardest contest in years when he met Marshall, who was disqualifii near the end of the last round. At stages Marshall definitely led on points, but he lost the bout through rabbit, and kidney punches and other similar tactics. There was absolutely no showmanship, and the bout was the hardest and fastest seen in years.
WALKER WINS. SHORT-LIVED CONTEST. [By Telegraph.—Press Association] MASTERTON, July 29. In a bout last night George Walker beat Louis Szabo, securing a fall at the end of the second round. Szabo was unable to continue.
