PRISON CAMP ESCAPE.

SEARCH CONTINUED. ROUGH COUNTRY COVERED. (By Teiegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 1. No trace has been found of the prisoner, John William Graves, who escaped from the Waikune Prison Camp last Sunday. Search has been made by parties of warders in the National Park area, and in the direction of Ohakune and Tokaanu, and all roads in the district have been closely watched. In the vicinity of the prison camp there is a large area of bush, also a number of old bushmen's huts, where a man might find temporary refuge.

When the prisoner escaped the searchers were handicapped by tho bad weather conditions, as heavy snow was falling. The weather now has considerably improved.
