Mr. Piper, who is a native of Christchurch and is revisiting th,c city, after a long absence abroad, tells fascinating stories of Bangkok and its splendours. And he thinks that the English-educated aristocrats of Siam are among the most cultured people in the world, although their glory has faded since the abdication of the King of Siam.
