INTENSE INTEREST SHOWN. IN MANUKAU ELECTORATE. BOTH CANDIDATES BUSY. (By Teiegrapii.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 30. Bedecked with red, white and blue, the colours of the National Party, *and plain red for the Labour Party, scores of cars are racing about the Manukau electorate to-day taking voters to booths. Activity evei-y----where indicates intense interest in the result of the by-election. The candidates, Mr. A. G. Osborne (Labour) and Mr. F. W. Doidge (National), are majring periodical tours of the electorate. Both show surprising virility and activity after a strenuous campaign.
