The continued, increase in .the volume of business generally throughout the Dominion has naturally had its rellex in the Jlcmand for tradesmen of .many designations. There js, for instansp£ja;:;pa^ for competent'carpenters, Avhile for ■'A" grade... mptQiv mechanics, sheetmetal oAyflrkers.v-uphplsterers, .expert; cabinet-makers, etc,, s .thp| placement officers-- are experiencing- little difficulty in finding employment.. •■ - . Though the "position AA'ith respect to expert /tradesmen has not yet reached an acute stage, it is anticipated that the Government's house construction activities, will result in further, stimulating.the .demand, for carpenters and joiners,, plumbers and painters, electricians;, ■: and. paperhangers, and the many other, trades allied to the.building:industry. - Many thousands, pf meu. are employed .in.
