THE KING'S. "Escapade,?' with William Powell and Luise Raifter, is .to : night's attraction- iit the King's. Though not a musical picture, the story has several elaborate musical sequences. The opera is one of them, bcin» used as a setting for a highly dramatic scene between Frank Morgan and Miss Rainer, in which the music rises to a climax on the stage as the drama reaches its climax in the opera house corridor. A feature of the film is the reproduction with modern orchestration of Caruso's voice in two well-known arias.

THE REGENT. "The Rainmakers," a mirth-pro-voking farce, with Wheeler and Woolsey, is screening at the Regent to-night. The early scenes in the picture are based on the efforts of the stars to lighten the wees of a drought-ridden farming Community, and th" sequences build swiftly towards a crashing climax. Supporting jslayers are Dorothy Lee, Frederic Roland and George Meeker.

The associate picture sees Lionel Barn-more in "The Return of Peter Grimm." the story of a man who returned from the spirit world to correct I lie errors of his life. Supporting players include Helen Mack, Edward Ellis and Donald Meek.
