LEADING TEAMS BEATEN. Both the teams in the Thames Cricket Association’s championship competition were defeated on Saturday, when Old Boys gained an outright win over High School, and Karaku defeated Tararu. The championship table now reads: Old Boys and Tararu 21 points each, High School 20, Karaku 17. SGores: — Karaku 58 (A. Smith 15, N. McMillan 11, O. Hayward 10 —J. Anderson 4/13, C. Billing 3/19), and 98 (M. Hovell 30, Smith 24, G. Burns ID, Twohill not out 15 —T. Cleave 5/21, Anderson 3/30). Tararu 43 (K. McLiesh 19, T. Cleave 13 —A. Brokenshire 5/8, Ji Twohill 3/18, M. C. Baker 2/12) and 71 for 3 wickets (Cleave not out 62 —Twohill 1/11). A three-point win for Karaku.

High School 77 (F. R. Thomas 35, A. McMillan 14 —J. Moran 5/21, Johnston 2/11, Gedye 2/13, Mortimer 1/20), and 33 (Thomas 12 — Mortimer 7/5, Moran 1/6, Gedye 1/18). Old Boys 116 for 6 wickets declared (C. Gedye 40, D. Muir 36, R. Fowler 17 —McMillan 2/40, Clinker 1/3, Hoskins 1/21). An outright win for Old Boys.

HIGH SCHOOL BEAT LADIES. The Thames ladies' team was defeated in a one-innings match by a High School boys’ eleven. Scores were: Ladies’ Club 57 (Miss 1. Delamore 17, Miss J. Lang 15 —Grillin 4/11, Xoakes 4/15). High School 71 (Ingersoii 23, Gritlin 10 —Miss X. Smith 5/11, Mrs. Lang 2/10).
