Waihi Hospital.
SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE. HEALTH MINISTER THANKED. (Special to “Star.") WAIHI, Jan. 8. Following a lengthy conference in camera with the Waihi Hospital Board, the Minister for Health issued a statement to the elfect that as a result of frank discussion considerable adjustment of the troubles of the board would be effected now. The Hon. Fraser said the consultations with the former superintendent, Dr. A. Jenkins, and assistants, Dr. L. R. Iletherington and Dr. F. G. Barrtelough, and members of the institution were valuable, and there was now prospect of an agreement being entered into to ensure the proper stalling of the hospital.. The details would be finally submitted by Dr. M. 11. Watt, the Director-General of Hospitals, in conjunction with the medical officers mentioned.
The Minister paid a tribute to the earnest eo-operation of all concerned, and he and Dr. Watt were thanktd for their sound advice and leadership leading to a plan for removal of all difficulties.
