Thorn (L), 5658; Samuel (I), 4433; Keegan (D), 216; informal, 35. Absentee votes, 466, and declaration votes, 130, still to be counted. Total (excluding informal votes), 10,903. 1931. —A. M. Samuel (Coalition), 4702; J. S' Montgomerie (Labour), 4238. Total, 8940. 1928. —A. M. Samuel (Reform), 4202; J. S. Montgomerie (Labour), 2900; E. McGregor (United), 2319. Total, 9421.
