THAMES AMATEUR CLUB. TO-MORROW'S HANDICAPS. GOOD ENTRIES FOR APRIL 13. The Thames Amateur Athletic Club's meeting on the High School grounds to-morrow evening will feature a combined two-mile championship event for juniors and seniors, besides an open 100yds. handicap for men and a ladies' 100yds. handicap. Nominations for Big Meeting.
Nominations for the inaugural meeting to be held on the High School ground on Saturday, April 13, close with the secretary, Mr. A. R. Johnston, at 6 o'clock this evening. Excellent entries have been received from outside clubs, including Auckland (men and ladies), Hamilton, Cambridge and Rotorua.
JAVELIN AND SHOT. PRESENTED TO CLUB. A javelin and 161 b. shot have been presented to the Thames Amateur Athletic Club by Mr. W. White, and several members are now indulging in practice for these field events.
