CHARGES AGAINST MAORI. (Special to Star). DARGAVILLE. Jan. 31. A Maori, Daniel Beasley, aged 17, who was arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a Chinese gardener, Jimmy Wong You, was charged in the Dargaville Police Court yesterday with assault, stealing £47/10/-, cigarettes, a rifle, cartridges, two Chinese five-dollar notes and a key, of a total value of £SO IV- . . Accused was remanded until Friday. - ■
