; A DENTIST’S DEATH. EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. (By Telegrapn —Press Association). WELLINGTON, Jan. 31. A finding that death ivas caused by an overdose of a narcotic drug, inadvertently taken, was returned at the inquest into the death of Mr. Maurice Edward Denniston, a Wellington dentist. The coroner remarked that it was clear from the evidence that deceased, who was a cheerful man with no financial difficulties, had no intention of taking his life. “I think he took an overdose of a drug to ease his pain,” the coroner said.

A son of deceased said his father suffered for about 12 months from neuritis, in addition to great pain from an X-ray burn on his hand, with the result that occasionally ho took a mild drug to ease the pain and obtain sleep. Never at any time had his father expressed any intention of committing suicide.. Deceased had no financial or business worries and had a comfortable home.
