Arawa Tribe's Gift.
TRIBUTE TO LORD BLEDISLOE. A MEMORIAL PARK. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Nov. 9. To mark the appreciation of the Arawa tribe of the public service of the Governor General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe, and in recognition of their interest in Maori matters, the Arawa District Trust Board has given the historic land-ing-place of the Arawa canoe at Maketu as a memorial park. The land is situated in the Waiariki Native Land Court district and comprises neatly 100 acres. The park is to bear the name of Bledisloe, and three members of the Arawa tribe will have a. voice in its control. The establishment , of this park is provided for in the Native Purposes Bill, introduced in the House of Representatives last night, and read a first time,
