' CANADA’S “NEW DEAL.” DEBT SETTLEMENT PROPOSAL. (A. and N.Z. Cable). OTTAWA, June 4. A “New Deal” for the debt-laden farmer is forecast in a Government Bill now in the House of Commons. The farmer may secure without cost an appraisal of his inability to pay. A free judicial commission will decide a settlement which will be binding on the creditor as well.
