(By Telegraph —Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 5. General inference: Pressure is high over south-eastern Australia, and a ridge of relatively high pressure extends thence to southern New Zealand. Otherwise the distribution is remarkably uniform and there is an' absence of strong air currents. Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, with southerlies or south-easterlies predominating. Weather mainly fair, but cloudy at times and with mist or fog in places and some scattered light rain. Temperatures cool. Seas smooth to moderate.
