THE KING’S THEATRE. “LITTLE WOMEN'’ COMING. A new figure on the screen horizon, Rosemary Ames, will make her bicl for stardom in “I Believed In You,” Avhich concludes its season to-night. Featured with Miss Ames are John Boles and Victor Jory. John -Barrymore, who has wooed and won more than any one man’s share of fair maidens in his career as a dashing stage and screen lover, resorts to an entirely new type of courting in his latest starring picture, “Long Lost Father,” also showing to-night. The girl on whom he lavishes his wiles is his own daughter, portrayed by Helen Chandler. Barrymore portrays a father Avho is faced with the task of AA’inning back the favour of a daughter he has long neglected. His methods of attacking that difficult task are far from conventional. . Thames picture-goers should make a special note that “Little Women,” the screen’s characterisation of Louisa May Alcott’s immortal book, commences its season on Saturday, and the box plan is noAV open. In Anew of the rush to see this picture at Auckland, patrons of the King’s are advised to book early.
