Fire At Parawai.

OUTBREAK DURING PAINTING. While painters were engaged in burning-off operations at the residence of Mr: J. H. Corbett, Parawai, this afternoon, the weatherboards of the kitchen caught fire shortly before 3 o'clock. The Brigade was summoned, but a bucket of water subdued the outbreak before the Brigade arrived, though the boards were still smouldering. Little damage was done except for the charred boards.

A lorry and car collided at the scene of the outbreak, the former's mudguard and windscreen suffering damage.
