Motorist Convicted.

COLLISION AT TARARU. SEQUEL IN COURT There was a brief sitting of the Thames Police Court this morning, Messrs. S. Ensor and W. Bongard, J.P.’s, being on the Bench. John ToAvnsend Campbell Avas charged Avitli negligently driving a motor-car on the Coast Road and with being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a car on Saturday. Sergeant J. H. F. Macnamara stated that a complaint had been received about 6.30 p.m. on Saturday that a stationary car had been run into at Tararu and slightly damaged. Accused admitted the offences. The Bench decided that a conviction be recorded, and that accused be ordered to pay costs and take out a prohibition order.
