M.P. Wants Details.

BUILDING WAGE SUBSIDY.

HELP FOR HOUSE-OWNERS

(Special to Star). AUCKLAND, June 2

The following telegram has been sent by Mr W. Jordan, member for Manukau, to the Right Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister of Employment: “You have published a statement about subsidising wages of skilled workers. Very vague. Send details. I suggest that the Board pay wages for repairs and renovations to dwellings in approved cases, owner to purchase materials. This would absorb a large number of workers and protect deteriorating property.”
