NEXT SEASON’S RATES. MEETING AT PETONE. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 1. A meeting of workers in the shearers’ industry was held to-day at Petone to discuss the rates of pay for shearers and shed hands next season. The secretary of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, Mr Cook, said subsequently that there was nothing foi publication arising out of the meeting.
