SPORTS GROUND FEES.
BIG INCREASE MADE. BY WELLINGTON. COUNCIL. i (By Telegraphs-Press WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. Authority was granted by the City < * Council last night for an amendment - -Of the by-laws to provide for annual ] license fees for sports grounds with accommodation for 10,000 persons and under 20,000 to be increased from £2 •"2s to £2O, and those holding 30,000 "or over to £3O per annum. It was '-explained that the increases were necessitated by the tremoiiduus amoiint . -of extra work involved in regulating s large crowds, towards the cost o* -which the Council received nothing ! : from the sports Indies.
