RUGBY PLAYER DISQUALIFIED. MAN WHO STRUCK REFEREE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) STRATFORD, Aug. 20. E. Roebuck, a member of the
Okato Football Club, who was recently fined in the Magistrate’s Court for assaulting the referee in his club’s game against Tukapa, was last night disqualified for life by the Rugby Union from playing, and debarred for five years from holding office in any football club.
