NURSES REJOICE. MISS McLOUGHLIN HONOURED. The Thames Nurses’ Home was % scene of gaiety on Friday evening, when the nurses met in fancy costume to bid farewell to one of their members, Mis& Kathleen MeLoughlin, who is to be married in the near future. At eight o’clock a parade through, the hospital was led by Nurse M. as “Father Christmas,” escorting the guest of the evening, who represented a “powder-puff.” laking part in the procession, were: —I Keith, sailor; E. Leask. the Red Shadow; G. Gauntlett. black imp; K. M. Ansenne, auntie; D. Moore, golligog; N. Hale, early Victorian mannequin; H. Moore, Irish colleen; C. Manson, Dr. Knowall Cutinski; J. Wilson, Lady Godiva; L. Graham, gypsy; O. Hoyle, the college swot; G. Graham, pierrette; G. Hughes, harem lady; M. Currie, Peggy. O’Neill; N. Trapski, wooden soldier; V. Challis, the Sun; R. Watson and V. Thornton, Japanese lady and gentleman; J. Hogg, tropical navy; A; Cochrane, sheik; M Faulkner, Topsv. ‘

The parade was greatly enjoyed by the patients, and was followed by dancing and games until eleven o'clock, when a dainty supper was served.

Opportunity was then taken to present Miss MeLoughlin with a handsome crystal water set as a token of the esteem in which she was held. Best wishes for a. happy future were bestowed upon, and the jolly evening was brought to a close by the singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow’* and “Auld Lang Syne.”
