Voicing her protest against the homework system, a mother of children attending a school in the Morrinsviile district, complained of the difficulty it onuses in farmers’ households. “Our children are sent to school to learn, and the teachers are paid to teach them,” she said. “Surely the hours are long enough for them to do what is necessary, without giving them more to do at home.”
