TALKIES AT KING'S.
"THE TRESPASSER."
GLORIA SWAiN SON 'S GUIEAT TALKING PICTURE.
"The Trespasser," featuring Gloria Swans'on, was heralded as an outstanding talkie, and those who have seen it during its present screening at the King's' Theatre, will admit the truth of this contention. The picture is a remarkable one, and there is, not one weak, spot, in the whole film. New situations develop rapidly, and the audience is carried from one part of the drama to another without knowing it. There are no waits or breaks, just an gliding through one of the most human dramas ever portrayed on the screen. The acting is superb. GfcrifJ Swaoison sets an example to the rest of the east, and they have followed her. She sings, she flirts, she loves, she starves herself for her child, and every part is most . faithfully portrayed. And the child is natural in its affection for its mother, talking and romping just as. one would expect a child to do, saying its prayers at night in such a natural manner, and reproduced so faithfully that the audience gasps in wonderment. The climax is a strobe ofAgenius on.the'part-of ,the author and producer., who in this case is one and the same person, Edmund Goulding. "The Trespasser" will be screened again, to-night and to-morrow night, thus providing patrons with full opportunity to see it.
