THE PROPOSED NEW BANK.
“ABSOLUTELY NON-POLITICAL.” (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 6. Referring to a London cable giving the comment of the Financial News on the proposed establishment of a London and New Zealand bank, Mr J. G. Elliott, M.P. (Oroua), who will have charge of the Bill in Parliament, said the application for a charter had absolutely no political significance. There were - no unusual the Bill I, and the provisions are in accordance with the existing banking legislation. :
