OF MONEY ORDER TELEGRAM

<By Telegraph.—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. The forgery of a £4O money-order telegram in the name of James Butt, was alleged against Leslie Ward, a carpenter aged 24 at the Magistrate s Court to-day. In asking for a remanci the Chief-Detective said the, offence took place in 1923. Three other charges which involved a total of over £IOO would also be preferred. Ward, had gone to England after the .alleged offences and married there. The remand was granted, bail being allowed in £2OO.
