JEWEL THIEVES. CAUGHT WITH BOOTY. •A. and N.Z. Cable.) ROME, July 26. As a sequel to the jewels theft ease Prince Bandini’s chauffeur has been •arrested near Trieste with half of stolen jewels, which were hidden •in a pair of boots. The chauffeur says that the valet ■suggested, the robbery, and he and the chauffeur, went to the bedroom. The Prince and Princess were asleep •and the chauffeur put padding steeped in ether over the Princess’ mouth while the valet did the same to the Prince. When they became unconscious they took the key of the safe and stole the jewels, and then caught the first train from Rome. It is believed the valet escaped across the frontier.
