ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
DROWNING FATALITY. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) (Received 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, February 17. A river tragedy is reported from South Woodburn. Mrs. Dagg and two children, and her sister-in-law were driving in a sulky in the evening along the bank of the Richmond River. It is surmised lhab the horse backed the sulky over the bank and all were drowned.
MOTOR CAPSIZES. (Press Association.) HASTINGS, Fob. 17. While motoring from Woodvilh to Hastings yesterday Limberick’s taxi-cab, occupied by Sir James Carroll and Mr. R. L. Williams, of Hastings, ran over the side of the road about seven miles from Hastings and capsized into a raupo swamp. Mr. Williams sustained a compound fracture of the wrist, but Sir James Carroll and the driver escaped with a severe shaking.
