(From Our Travelling Reporter.) .SOLDIERS' VALUATIONS. Mr. McGuiness, president of the Kaiheivj branch of the. Yarmers' Union, returned a few ago from Wellington, where he has been on a business visit for the purpose of presenting a- petition fco -the, | m Lands Committee.Tlie petition was v signed by a large number v bf returned soldiers who have settled on the' Hauraki Plaiiis. The object* of the , petition is to obtains readjustment in tho Government, valuations of. their properties.' Mr. McGuiness advises that no settlement in this . matter,has yet been arrived at 5y £ho "Government. Mr. massey had - stated that ho Avould not sanction a revaluation of soldier iF '* settlements for the next live years.
