The regulations drafted for the installation of wireless on vessels registered in New* Zealand have been issued to the Union Co., Northern SjSI. Co., and several small steamers engaged in local trade>. Three classes of wireless are recognised in the first, operator is always on duty";" in the second t© certain hours, and first ten minutes of every other Hour; in the tliird operators do not have the specified listening service. The regulations only apply 4fai Vessels authorised tio carry no less than 50 passengers, and engaged in foreign or intercolonial trade. There are 17 of the latter and 16 coastal.
