LONDON^, April 29. Some amazing disclosures have been made as tie revalt of an investigjition into the conditions prevailing at the Auburn Penitentiary, in New * York State. The inquiry revealed brutality, waste, and incompefency on the part of the officials. No fewer than '2*B convicts are declaipd to have been driven insane during, one year in consequence of the inhuman treatment to which they were subjected. It was further elicited that a woman who had been sentenced to death, was appointed a nurse in the lying--in ward of the gaol.
