LONDON FLAT TRAGEDY.
INVITATION TO A DUHU

Some remarkable evidence was given at the inquest into the shooting of Julian Hall, the well known airman, by a young woman named Jeanie Blaster, The tragedy* occurred last week* 'at HJaU'j' fla^i in Denman Street, London. It was shown that Baxter had another intimate male friend, one Unwin, and the story was told of the dramatic . circumstances under which the latter was challenged by Hall to fight a duel. - One evening; Hall produced two re- . volvers and placed them on a table. Later in the eveningl he snatched up one of the weapons and invited TTnwin to take the other. Hall then suggested that after the electric light had been switched off they should light cigarettes, and that each should firo at the one the other was smoking in the darkness, TTnwin, however, refused to do anything of the kind. Hall afterwards fell asleep on the hearth-rug. . Further evidence was given that Baxter had inquired" of a friend whether shje, could be punishod fvtery; much if she shot Hall. The inquest was adjourned.
