To-day information as to the result of the election of rnlembers of the Eiduioation Board for East and North/ Wards, in which there were contests, came to hand.
For Bast 'Wr.rd, in" which Messrs A. Burns * (Thames), Duxfield (King Country), and Orooke (Auckland) were the candidates, Mr Burns -was successful, and in making the announcement we are but voicing general opinion when we express pleasure) at the '-esuilb. Tha Thames and other allied districts have never had direct representation on the Board and it may confidently be anticipated t-Vat the election of Mr Burne will make for good.
