' The Premier speaking of the acs- ■ sion just ended referred to the failure of Mh" Maasey to give a pair for Mr Wilford, and said he was not playing the game. If Mr Herries, who was now absent owing to the ill-health of hie wife, was not in his place next session he would himself pair with the member for Tauranga if no other member did co. A resolution congratulating H'Jn. Mir Mackenzie an his appointment as Premier and choice of Minister, and trusting they would have a fair trial of administering! the affairs of The Dominion was carried unanimously amidst continued applause, and, the Hon. Mr Mackenzie said they wouM never regret passing the resolution.
