CRICKET MATCH.
THAMES V. PUKEKOHEL The match played at Parawai yesterday between a team from the Pukekohe district and the Thames eleven was a most enjoyable one, the visitoiis winning by 54 runs. The first innings (on which the match practically depended) was very close, the visitors making 128 and Thames 117. Pleydell, who oaptained the win ners, gave a sound display for 30, while Kemp, who made 2i7 (after being badly missed at 3) also sihowed fair form. Wilson (10), Cuff (12), and Fenwick (10) were the other batsmen to reach double figures. For Thames Gleeson (16), Etching (16), Adams (13), Coote (|l2), and Peters (19 not out) were the principal contributors. In the second innings, with, the-light beginning to fail, the visitors made ' 68, Wilson again hatting well for 1-1, i Lyons making 10.
