MOANATAIATI.
The prospects1 in this property may bo said to be steadily improving and the recent satisfactory trial crushings have put more heart in' those: favorably inclined towards this ■ mine, which has every promise of* com ing to the front before long. The intermediate drive which Is "being put in east of the rise above the No. 3 level shows that the lode is most promising, and as it averages 3ft in width, and all the quartz is being saved the prospects at this point are excellent. Then again in, the drive west on the No. i Cambria lode the reef has widened out to 4ft and the quartz looks splendid. There is every indication that gold will be showing before long, and as no sign of gold could be seen in the quartz from which the recent friaJ crushing was made this will be a development of considerable importance. The faot that good quartz is being secured from both the points mentioned is decidedly reassuring.
