RUNDLE'S FORCE ENGAGED.
LONDON, April 22. Major- General Rundle fought the enemy five miles west of Dewetsdorp on Friday. The artillery duel lasted from noon till dusk. Two of the 1 enemy's guns were silenced and the mounteds outflanking and opening fire, the Boers were driven to their second ridge, the British occupying the! first ridge, with a few wounded. Later. An official report states that Major General Rundle engaged the enemy five miles west of Dewetsdorp on .Friday. ' The Yeomanry and mounted troops enabled Major-General Rundle to seize the enemy's first and also: the higher positions, covering Dewets* dorp. They advanced again on Saturday, fighting ensuing.
