LONDON, April 22. Lord' Methuen, when at Zwartz Kappa wag ordered to retire to Boshof. : On Friday two ' thousand Boers with three guns, fiercely attacked a portion of Lord Methuen's force, consisting of the Kimberley Mounted and Yorkshire Yeomanry, which protected a convoy six miles long. The British took cover among the kopjes. The Boers fought skilfully and determinedly till the moment they came within the three hundred yards range* when they were repulsed, suffering heavily. There were several British casualties, but the convoy was saved.
