DROWNING ACCIDENT.
(Per Press Association.') :" <• WELLINGTON, April 18. The police have received advice that H. D. Hayes, blacksmith, Otaki, »;\va6 drowned while crossing the bar with a fishernian named Dirilis. The boat was stamped. Dirilis managed to get ashore with great difficulty. Hayes was only 21, and leaves a wife and infant. .
