AUCKLAND, February 21. Bailey's homing pigeon Mystery, which was liberated at Kussell witii

four others, has reached Wellington safely.

Robert Henry Stevenson, builder, of Auckland, a bankrupt, has made a sworn statement to the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy, in the course of which he states he has made losses on building contracts. He owes altogether £696 10s Bd. The assets total £i§2 7s Id, including balance due on contracts .£425. He has no offer to make to the creditors.

A Puhipuhi correspondent, writing to the Herald, states that a large lode has been intersected in the property worked by the Hampton Plains Company, which has been broken down for eighty feet.
