WAIOTAHI.
This company has finished a crushing of 60 tons for the payable return of 920z 1 Sdwts retorted gold. This is the result of three weeks' work. SALE OF TAILINGS PLANT. Messrs Bawden and .Olimo's plant, at 'lararu, which was offered by auction this morning by Mr B. B. McGregoi, was purchased by Mr Alfred Smith for £8 10s. SOUTHERN MINING. A parcel of 30oz of gold was brought into Greymouth a day or two ago. It was a splendid sample, says the Grey Rivor Argus, being from the isize of melon or pumpkin seed to half a wallnut It was obtained in a creek on the south side of the Otira Gorge, where some interesting mining developments are looked for shortly, as a good deal of money is being spent in that neighborhood. The country is described as ot the ruggedest nature.
