The Paniatua Fires.

(Per Press Association.) Pahiatua, March 26. The officers of the Lands Department have scheduled the settlers' statements of loss by bush fires 308 buildings were destroyed, 10,553 shwep, 37 head of cattle and other stocks in minor atoounts. The value the fencing destroyed is £3,374 ; grass, £7.020; value of houses, etc., £$,286 ; other losses, £7,492; total £30,344. The f; insurances were £5,106, About 15,350 bushels of grass are required to re sow burned patches. Less than £700 was received in subscriptions.
