A JEALOUS HUSBAND. INQUEST ON HERBERT EDMONDS (Press Association.) Wellington, This day. i At the inquest on Herbert Edmonds ! the jury returned a verdict of tempt - . rary insanity. Deceased shot himself early in the morning, blowing out his ' brains. The people with whom they , lived said that deceased appeared to be very jealous. Mrs Edmonds said j he had been acting strangely on the I previous evening, and soemed to have something on his tnind. About 3 a.m. < she woke up and found him standing by her bed with a loaded gun. He looked very strange, and he told her to prepare to die with him. She got the gun away and he appeared more rational in the morning, and got up and went into another room. She then heard the shot. He was very jealous, and had threatened to shoot her before the marriage. She had lived with him ever since their marriage, excepting a fortnight in Wellington, where she went when her father was ill.
