The trial of the directors of the Anglo-Australian Banking Co. has begua. The Oro^n Prosecutor in his opening address stated that the institution started in 1888" with £37 10s capital, but by means of fictitious transactions in land had made it aopear that the Bank had a paid-up capital of £100,000 and a magnificent reserve fund. '
